Lehigh's Community and Regional Affairs effort is dedicated to the utilization of the University's resources - both human and capital - for the advancement of the larger community consistent with the University's interests and goals.

We serve as the liaison between the diverse constituencies of Lehigh University, and the city, community organizations, local government offices and citizen groups.

Our objectives are quite straightforward; we are determined to represent Lehigh's interests in the community in the most positive way, and to understand and respond in a proactive way to community concerns and issues, which may affect or involve the University.

The office seeks to:

• Create partnerships that bridge the University with the community.
• Collaborate with community constituencies to enhance the institution's visibility in the Lehigh Valley.
• Participate in community and economic development activities that are in the best interests of the university and the adjacent community.
• Be a catalyst in the renaissance of South Bethlehem.
• Engage faculty, staff, and students in community service work.
• Provide a variety of services for the Lehigh Valley community.
• Partner with other campus units to promote the University's overall goals.
