Draftsperson: Facilities Planning and Renovation

1. What do you like best about your position?
My position crosses several areas of interesting study: architectural drafting, design, computer graphics and information retrieval.  Learning more information everyday, which applies to my position and related fields of study, advances my ability to perform the work with more expertise and a wider scope of responsibilities.

2. What time do you arrive at work? What time do you leave work?
My work hours are 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

3. Why did you choose Lehigh University as your employer of choice?
In addition to the basic criteria I use to assess a potential employer, Lehigh's endless energy in providing a creative academic environment makes it a unique place to grow.  Lehigh's well-known presence in the community made this decision an easy one. 

4. What Lehigh University events and activities have you participated in beyond your department to become a more active member of the Lehigh community?
I always participate in the offerings of the Fitness Center particularly the Yoga and Jazzercise classes.  I also enjoy the many art galleries displaying a variety of artistic creations.

5. What is your favorite location on campus and why?
I especially like the plazas with their water fountains because they are a refreshing place to relax after a walk around the campus.

6. What do you like best about working for an academic institution?
Working in an academic institution allows numerous opportunities to expand my base knowledge with hands-on experience and skill development, which makes me more valuable as an employee.
