"Before I came to Lehigh, I had no idea what I wanted to do in the future. But this program has already affected me. I’ve learned so much about globalization and I understand the concept of inter-connectedness so much more. It’s definitely increased my interest in other cultures."

Teaching, Learning, and Technology
The program is a Service Learning project designed to support partnerships between Lehigh University's Departments of Economics, Political Science, and Sociology and Anthropology and regional agencies that are active in the broad areas of economic and community development. The Community Fellows program provides masters-level students in the three Departments with an opportunity to gain meaningful community-based experience by working on agency-defined projects and goals for fifteen hours a week for twelve months in combination with their masters degree course work, including interdisciplinary courses designed to enhance their research and analytical skills.
