Tips on applying to Lehigh as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien living abroad:

  • Start early.
  • Apply on line or use an international courier service.
  • If you plan to apply for federal financial aid (campus work study, Perkins Loans, Stafford Loans) you must have a U.S. Social Security Number. You should apply for this at the local U.S. embassy or consulate as soon as possible.
  • Provide us with a current and working email address so that we can effectively communicate with you.
  • Applications from US citizens and permanent resident aliens living abroad are reviewed by an experienced senior member of the admissions staff who has worked in international admissions for many years.
