Program Description
To “develop” means “to unfold the inherent possibilities.” Professional development is an ongoing process of uncovering, cultivating, and expressing our values, interests, talents, and skills so that we show up in life aligned with our true nature, awakened, affirmed, and energized, filled with possibility, direction, and meaning. This workshop will engage participants in the process of “unfolding the inherent possibilities” in themselves and others, to move themselves and their organizations forward.

Michael Kensler, M.S., presenter
Mike is an advocate, educator, and catalyst in the fields of ecological restoration, leadership development, and organizational learning. Mike has worked with individuals, organizations, and communities around the country to help them articulate their aspirations for a meaningful life and a better future, and realize their inherent ability and power to act in ways that transform the status quo and bring fruition to those aspirations.
After a career in business, Mike has spent the past 20 years working in the nonprofit sector for environmental conservation and education organizations. Mike holds a Master of Science degree in natural resources management, planning and policy from the University of Michigan. As a lifelong learner, Mike continues to deepen his understanding and practice of personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, living systems, organizational democracy, leadership, and civic engagement.
