New York City Annual Bike Tour

Deborah Zajac and Daniel Zarrilli will be participating in a 42 mile bike ride through the five boroughs that comprise New York City as a part of the New York City Annual Bike Tour. They will be riding in support of Deborah's sister, who suffers from chronic, debilitating migraines. The Migraine Research Foundation seeks to learn more about the mysterious phenomenon of migraines, which can severely affect one's ability to go to work, raise a family, or conduct a normal life. Komen Puget Sound Race For the Cure

The Komen Foundation has been a leader in fundraising to support educational outreach, screening, and treatment programs relating to breast cancer. The Puget Sound Affiliate's net income funds approximately 75 percent of these operations in the region. Come out on Sunday, June 7, 2009 to participate in a Race For the Cure event, an opportunity to provide a personal touch and emotional support to the fight against breast cancer. Sara Trela '00 is organizing the Lehigh Club of the Pacific Northwest's participation team. Alumna Vicky Steel will be participating in the Avenue of the Giants Half Marathon this May as a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training. Vicky's fundraising goal is currently set at $5,000, and she's looking for support from the Lehigh Call to C.A.R.E. community to help her reach that goal.
