2007: American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based coluntary health organization dedicated to elimating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
To lead the fight to cure and treat ALS through global, cutting-edge research, and to empower people with Lou Gehrig's Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
2005: American Red Cross Blood Centers
Some four million people give blood - the gift of life - through the Red Cross, making it the largest supplier of blood and blood products in the United States.
