"I had come from a background where I was a high IQ kid in a group where sporting prowess determined social status. But Fritz Lab was at the peak of its productivity, and there I was no longer an outsider but part of a community of scholars who could and did challenge me intellectually. Ideas were always bouncing around and the big task was to hang on to enough to record and use."

When our alumni call our attention to volunteer opportunities that seem particularly well suited to our alumni, we will post it here. To suggest a project or opportunity, please e-mail the Clubs Staff.
AARP
Tax-Aide Program
"I volunteer with AARP to do income tax returns for low- to middle-income individuals — mostly seniors. I work at two local libraries once a week during income tax season preparing returns. I find that our help is greatly appreciated and greatly needed by many people. We do returns on a computer and e-file the vast majority." —Donald Zangara '67
There is a great need for more volunteers! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at tax time, AARP will provide training. For more information online click here or e-mail Donald Zangara '67.
