About the Greek Alumni Council (GAC)

What does the Greek Alumni Council (GAC) actually do?

  • Operates as part of the Lehigh University Alumni Association (LUAA) and is governed by LUAA by-laws and Greek Alumni Council by-laws.
  • Works with various on-campus administrative offices to represent the interests of all Greek Alumni.
  • Through GAC laison officers, maintains contact with leaders of chapter alumni organizations and the Greek leadership coordinators in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs.
  • Serves as liaison to inactive chapters and alumni advisors who are not Lehigh Alumni.
  • Holds both a fall and spring general meeting.  The meeting includes all Executive Committee members, two undergraduates and two alumni representatives from each Greek organization (two votes per chapter) and appropriate Lehigh administrators. During these meetings issues that directly concern the entire Greek system are discussed and communicated.
