The chapters listed below lost recognition as a result of action by their national/international fraternity or, in one case, by Lehigh University.
Alumni of these chapters are encouraged to organize their alumni for the purposes of socialization among their brothers and sisters. If needed, the Alumni Association Office will assist in this regard. An alumni organization will be required for any future recolonization activity.
Before any of these chapters can be considered for recolonization, the status of the fraternity or sorority system must be declared ready for expansion in the annual System Wide Assessment report.
When either the fraternity or sorority system is ready for expansion, formerly recognized chapters will be notified and eligible to submit a proposal supporting recolonization of their chapter.
If a chapter is invited to recolonize, Lehigh will work closely with the alumni and the national/international to clarify and support the process.
While there is a university policy which allows a recolonizing chapter to request to occupy its former chapter house, the probability of securing the former chapter house is low.
