A Commitment To Interdisciplinary Education
The College of Business and Economics (CBE) is committed to preparing our graduates to be outstanding citizens and well educated business leaders. We’re able to accomplish this by offering a rich array of basic business and interdisciplinary courses, taught by professors committed to the highest standards of excellence in teaching. An innovative and flexible approach to programming that incorporates cutting-edge technology strongly positions our students for success in today’s evolving business climate.
Our goal is to prepare students for not just their first jobs, but their last one, as well.
The CBE offers degree and non-degree programs in undergraduate, graduate, doctoral and professional education. The business and accounting programs are accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). We are proud of this distinction in that it is held by only twenty-five percent of business degree programs in the United States.
The undergraduate program gives students the opportunity to enhance their business skills through courses and projects that span the Lehigh curriculum. The Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) honors program and the Computer Science and Business (CSB) major—opportunities presented jointly by the CBE and the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science—are examples of the strengths of premier programs combined to meet the requirements of business today.
The MBA curriculum provides students with a rich, integrated learning experience. Innovative interdisciplinary degrees such as the MBA and Engineering and the MBA and Educational Leadership combine the strengths of the Lehigh MBA with programs in the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science and in the College of Education. These and our additional graduate offerings are offered online, on campus, and by satellite together with our corporate partners.
The CBE has a number of renowned research centers and institutes, providing unique opportunities for study for students and faculty. These centers and institutes complement the scholarly activities of academic departments and include the Iacocca Institute, the Center for Financial Services Studies, the Center for Value Chain Research, the Murray H. Goodman Center for Real Estate Studies and the Martindale Center for the Study of Private Enterprise.
Lehigh University and the College of Business and Economics is located an hour from Philadelphia and less than two hours from New York. Our prime location in the northeast corridor allows us to easily adapt along with the changing world of business.
