
The Master of Science in Accounting and Information Analysis Program welcomes applications from college graduates in all business disciplines. A major in accounting is not a prerequisite, although applicants without sufficient accounting background will be required to enroll in background courses.

The credentials evaluated by the Graduate Admissions Committee include the candidate's undergraduate academic record, performance on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), a personal essay describing educational and career objectives and letters of recommendation from former teachers and/or employers. Relevant professional work experience is also evaluated.
The Admissions Committee bases its decision upon the applicant's academic abilities, motivation, maturity, and potential to complete graduate studies successfully. If you feel that extenuating circumstances have affected your academic performance or test results, the Committee would welcome a letter of explanation.

You are encouraged to apply using Lehigh's online application system .
1. New users-create Log In ID (case sensitive) and six digit PIN number. Please retain your Log In ID and PIN so that you may return to the application later or to check your application status after submission.
2. Choose application type " Graduate Business and Economics".
3. International applicants-check the International Application box.
4. Choose Term of Entry-If you are an accounting major, choose term "Summer 2008". All other majors should choose term "Fall 2008". Spring applications are only accepted upon consultation with the M.S. Program Director and the Graduate Business Admissions Office.
The online application system will also accept your essay and resume. Online applicants must submit their official transcripts, 2 letters of recommendation and any additional forms directly to the Graduate Programs Office. Include a cover sheet with your documents listing your full application name, Date of Birth, and Log In ID. The online application accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards for payment of the application fee.
If you intend to pay the application fee by check or cash, you must apply using our paper application. All drafts should be made payable to Lehigh University. The application fee may not be waived and is non-refundable. Applications will not be reviewed until the fee is paid.
Essay
Your essay should provide a summary of your career objectives and relevant work experiences (including internships) with reference to the chosen field of graduate study.
Resume
Your resume should list your education, your professional information and your achievements. Include your computing skills.

Official Transcripts
You must submit official transcripts from all universities attended. Official transcripts bear the signature of the university’s registrar and the seal of the issuing institution. The registrar’s office of your prior institution(s) will require written authorization for the release of your transcripts. Our sample transcript request form contains information that will be required by the registrar’s office. The transcripts must be submitted to us in a sealed envelope and may not be opened by you.
Applicants providing transcripts from institutions from outside the U.S. must submit official academic records (transcripts or grade sheets) as well as official copies of degrees awarded. Official copies of credentials should be validated by a school administrative officer (Registrar or other official). Documents should be issued in the original language with an official translation attached. Lehigh reserves the right to request international applicants to submit their academic records to an independent credential evaluation agency.
Letters of Recommendation
You must submit two letters of recommendation using our forms. Please fill in your personal information and read the waiver statement. Signing or not signing the waiver statement does not affect the admissions decision. Give the form to your recommender to complete. Your recommender is welcome to include a separate letter of recommendation along with the form. The recommender should seal the recommendation in an envelope and sign their name across the flap. The sealed recommendation may be returned to you for submission with your application materials or may be mailed directly to the Graduate Programs office. Letters from family members or friends will not be considered.
Internship & Employment Information Form
Your employment history should include any relevant full or paid time work including internships.
Honors & Extracurricular Activities Form
Complete the Honors and Extracurricular Activities form.
Course Work Summary
Students who did not attend Lehigh must list any accounting and business classes (along with the course numbers) completed or to be completed by graduation. List specifically any classes taken in accounting, economics, computers, finance, marketing, management, statistics, mathematics and business law. Applicants who did not receive their undergraduate degree from Lehigh should attach official or catalogue course descriptions of accounting courses taken. Articulation school students do not have to complete this form.
Financial Aid Form
Financial aid in the form of assistantships and scholarships is awarded through the College of Business and Economics for full time students. Awards are based on academic performance. Those interested in financial aid must file a complete program application and financial request form and be admitted to the MS in Accounting and Information Analsis Program before January 15. Aid is awarded in March by Lehigh’s Graduate Financial Aid Committee for the following academic year. Attach a copy of your resume to the form.
International students interested in applying for college-awarded financial aid will be required to pass a Lehigh University SPEAK test upon arrival at Lehigh with a score of at least 230. The College will use the new internet-based TOEFL (iBT) as a screening tool for the awarding of financial aid to international students. In order to be considered, you must achieve a speaking section score of 28 and a listening section score of 20. All awards are contingent upon passing the Lehigh SPEAK test. Test of English as a Foreign Language® (TOEFL)
Applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language®(TOEFL).
The Educational Testing Service® (ETS) has unveiled a new TOEFL test, the internet based TOEFL, or iBT TOEFL. Until the roll out of the new iBT is complete, test-takers may continue to take the computer adaptive version (CAT) or the paper based version of the exam depending upon when and where it is taken. Any questions regarding the TOEFL test availability in your area should be directed to ETS.
Your TOEFL score may not be older than 2 years at the time of your application to the program. Lehigh University will continue to accept all versions of the TOEFL test as long as the scores come directly from the Educational Testing Service. Scores must be received directly from ETS to be considered official. Lehigh’s institution code number is 2365, department code 02.
Upon evaluation, international candidates may be required to COMPLETE ESL (English as a Second Language) coursework as a condition of their admission AND CONTINUATION IN THE PROGRAM.

College of Business and Economics graduate students currently average 600 paper based/250 CAT on the TOEFL exam.
If you have completed a baccalaureate degree in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia or Canada, you may be exempt from the TOEFL. You are not exempt if the language of instruction is English in a non-English speaking country or if you have lived in an English-speaking country for several years. Contact Admissions for further information.
Financial Guarantee
International students must submit an original or notarized financial guarantee demonstrating sufficient funds to meet educational expenses for the first year of study. Original bank statements or bank letters are acceptable. Include an original letter of sponsorship if the expenses will be paid by someone other than you.

Enrollment Deposit
Due to the increasing popularity of the College of Business and Economics graduate programs all degree and non-degree students must submit a $250 deposit when accepting the offer of admission to secure a place in the class. The deposit must be received by the specific deadline noted in the offer letter. Upon matriculation, the deposit will be applied to tuition; if no tuition is due, the deposit will be refunded. A student who does not matriculate forfeits the deposit.
