To receive a master's degree from the College of Business and Economics a student must achieve a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 in graduate courses taken at Lehigh. A student may not receive more than four grades of C+ or lower.
A student whose GPA is below 3.0 after 12 hours of study is placed on probation and must earn at least a 3.0 GPA in subsequent semesters until the required minimum cumulative GPA is reached or be dropped from the program. Master's degree candidates have six years to complete all required courses.
Associate students may receive only one grade below a "B" while on associate student status. A student receiving a grade of "C-" or lower is dropped from the program immediately. When the associate student status period is completed, a student in good academic standing with a grade point average of 3.0 or above and with at most one grade below a "B" must petition for regular student status. All grades earned before the petition is filed are considered.
