The College of Business and Economics at Lehigh University prepares students to become business and community leaders in a broad range of organizations.  Our undergraduate students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to excel in business by developing:

  • the ability to communicate effectively
  • a strong academic foundation in the functional areas of business:
    functional knowledge is provided by the required core courses where it is expected that students will meet the objectives stated in the attached addendum.
  • academic competence in the discipline of the student’s choice
  • an understanding of organizational dynamics and cross-functional business processes
  • leadership and professional skills
  • competency in the use of the technologies prevalent in today’s e-business environment
  • the ability to think critically
  • an understanding of the ethical implications of business decisions and behavior
  • an understanding and appreciation for the nature of personal as well as global diversity

Overall, we expect our graduates to be able to successfully solve complex, unstructured business problems.
