Brian Fugate is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management. His major research interests are the role of boundary spanners in the firm and the supply chain, with an emphasis on logistics' role in creating and maintaining market-oriented and learning-oriented organizations and coordinating in the supply chain. This interest has led him to have four journal articles accepted for publication in the Journal of Business Logistics, one article in accepted for publication in the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, two articles published in Supply Chain Management Review, eleven published conference papers in the logistics, marketing, and operations disciplines, and several works in progress and under review. Professor Fugate teaches supply chain operations, logistics, and transportation. He joined the Lehigh University faculty in 2006 after graduating from The University of Tennessee with a Ph.D. in Business Administration, with a major in Logistics and minor in Marketing. Prior to pursuing the Ph.D., Professor Fugate worked in supply chain management and industrial engineering at John Deere, Allied Signal, and Delta Airlines.
