Professor Greenleaf has been on the Lehigh Faculty since 1970 and specializes in the areas of derivatives (options, futures, etc.), risk analysis, and portfolio management. Professor Greenleaf has worked with a number of financial institutions and has strived to integrate his experiences into his research and teaching.
Following a six year stint as a Department Chair (1997-2003), Professor Greenleaf has been working with a number of his former students and others in an external relations capacity. These efforts have contributed to the development of our Financial Services Laboratory (FSL) and the formation of the Wall Street Council, a network of alumni and others dedicated to serve the needs of our students and programs.
In addition to bringing Wall Street to Lehigh via the FSL, Prof Greenleaf also conducts many student trips to the Wall Street area. The photograph is from a recent visit to the New York Stock Exchange (Prof. Greenleaf is in the center).
Professor Greenleaf holds degrees from Penn State (Math), Lehigh (Management Science) and a Ph. D. from NYU. Professor Greenleaf and his wife, Jan, are long time residents of Bethlehem and have two grown children. Professor Greenleaf enjoys following Lehigh sports, interacting with his former students, and is an avid golfer.
