2004-Present, Professor of Practice -Director of the Program in Entrepreneurship at Lehigh University. Responsible for development and teaching LU Minor in Entrepreneurship.

From 1998 to 2003 Bladstrom Visiting Professor (entrepreneurship) at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and Director of the Wharton Program in Technological Innovation.

Between 1993 and 1997 appointed by the President as United States Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Technology Policy, where his responsibilities included the development and implementation of policies to increase the role of technology in enhancing the competitiveness and economic growth of the United States.

1980 - 1993 Director of Planning and Forecasting for GTE (now Verizon) where he developed and operated corporate technology planning systems covering GTE's main businesses in telecommunications, lighting, and materials.

1968-1980 General Electric Company as manager of research, engineering, and business development in operations, and with the Corporate Research and Development Center. .

Director of the Industrial Research Institute, author/collaborator 50 papers and studies on technology, business management, and policy, 7 U.S. patents, major honors IRI's "Maurice Holland Award" IAMOT'S "Distinguished Award" for the Management of Technology
B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Westminster, London.
