Vincent A. Forlenza, 1975

Vincent A. Forlenza became President of Becton, Dickinson Biosciences in March 2003. He is also an Executive Officer of the Company and a member of the Corporate Leadership Team.  Forlenza joined BD in 1980 and spent the next several years in various positions of increasing responsibility in the United States and Europe in strategic planning, business development and general management of several business units.  In 1996, he was appointed president of Becton Dickinson Microbiology Systems in Sparks, Maryland and assumed the position of Senior Vice President, Technology, Strategy and Development in October 1998.

BD Biosciences is one of BD’s three business segments. BD is a medical technology company that serves health care institutions, life sciences researchers, clinical laboratories, industry and the general public. BD manufactures and sells a broad range of market leading medical supplies, devices, laboratory equipment and diagnostic products. For the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2004, BD reported total revenues of $4.935 billion.

 Forlenza has been involved in various professional and community associations.  He currently serves as Vice Chairman of The Valley Hospital Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Lehigh University.  He obtained his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University in 1975 and his master’s of business administration from Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania in 1980.
