John W. Schiech has retired as Group Vice President of the Corporation and President, Industrial Products Group, of Black & Decker, Inc.

Prior to these roles, Mr. Schiech held general management positions in the firm’s North American Professional Power Tools organization since 1995, and assumed global responsibility in January 2001. He was elected a Vice President of the Corporation in 1997. He served as Vice President, Engineering for the North American Power Tools Division from July 1994 to October 1995. Previously, he held a variety of engineering and marketing positions, including product development manager in Europe. Mr. Schiech joined Black & Decker in June 1980.

Mr. Schiech holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University.
