Christopher Tihansky,  1986

Christopher Tihansky is President of CEllvizio, Inc., a leader in in vivo cellular imaging technology.

From 2003 to 2008, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Surgical Services, Inc. (SSI), a publicly traded healthcare service company with a focus on laparoscopic surgical procedures.

Previously, Chris was Vice President and General Manager for the Surgical Business of Teleflex Medical North America, a business segment of Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX).  From 1999 through 2002 he was Vice President Business Development of Teleflex Medical.

From 1995 to 1999 Chris was Senior Healthcare Analyst at Genesis Merchant Group, an investment banking firm based in San Francisco. Between 1991 and 1995, he was an independent sales representative for various orthopedic implant companies including: Zimmer, Exactech, and Advanced Spine Fixation Systems.

Chris started his career in 1988 as a project engineer designing custom orthopedic implants for Techmedica, a venture-backed company based in Southern California.

He earned an MBA from the University of San Diego, an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.

Chris lives in Doylestown, PA with his wife and three children. He is a native of Bethlehem, PA. He is also a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of YPO and a member of the Engineering Advisory Board to the Dean of the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Lehigh University.
