Research activities, consulting, patents, etc.:
Active areas of research include polymer processing, fracture mechanics, electronic packaging, and welding. Development of advanced numerical methods with an emphasis on specialized finite element codes for processing simulation and 3-D fracture analysis. Technical consultant to over ten companies and liability expert witness. Eleven U.S. patents and three European patents.
