Fluid Mechanics Laboratories: Experimental facilities include two large-scale water channels, a wave tank, a wind tunnel, and a pressure-driven air facility.  Extensive systems for quantitative visualization, based on high-image-density particle image velocimetry, are employed for characterization of complex, separated flows in both the water and air systems.  Techniques of unsteady pressure and force measurement are also available.
