• James F. Gilchrist, assistant professor of Chemical Engineering at Lehigh, and Chris Kiely, professor of material science and engineering, received a NSF-Directorate for Engineering Nanoparticle Assembly of Nanowire Composites and Nano- and Microfluidic Vascalature grant.
• Joachim L. Grenestedt, associate professor of Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics at Lehigh and Richard Sause, professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering, received Department of Defense Fatigue Testing of Maglev-Hybrid Box Beams grant
• Thomas L. Koch, the Daniel E. and Patricia M. Smith professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and director of the Center for Optical Technologies, received a Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative Grant (MURI) in collaboration with MIT: Electrically-Pumped, Silicon-Based Lasers for Chip-Scale Nanophotonic Systems.
• Eugene Perevalov, assistant professor of Industrial & Systems Engineering, received a NSF-Directorate for Engineering SGER: Optimization, Decision Making and Information grant.
