Prof. Kothare gives semi-plenary lecture at international symposium of ADCHEM

Mayuresh Kothare, associate professor of chemical engineering and co-director of the Chemical Process Modeling and Control Research Center, was invited to give a semi-plenary lecture at the 7th International Symposium on Advanced Control of Chemical Processes (ADCHEM) in Hong Kong in January.

Kothare's lecture, titled "A Framework for Scheduled Output Feedback Model Predictive Control for Constrained Nonlinear Systems," was co-authored with Zhaoyang Wan, who recently earned a Ph.D. from Lehigh and is now employed with GE Water Technology.

Sponsored by the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), the symposium featured three invited plenary lectures, twelve invited semi-plenary lectures and approximately 105 oral presentations and 65 poster presentations.

At the conference, Kothare also chaired a session on "Model Predictive Control."
