Chan lectures at IFFF conference in Japan
Helen Chan, professor of materials science and engineering, gave an
invited talk on “Critical Issues in Single Crystal Growth of PMN:PT by
Seeded Polycrystal Conversion” at IFFF 2002, the International Joint
Conference on the Applications of Ferroelectrics, in Nara, Japan, in
May.
Chan’s paper was coauthored with Martin Harmer, professor of MS&E, and
MS&E graduate students Adam Scotch, Edward Gorzkowski, Patrick King and
Derrick Rockosi.
Chan was also recently appointed special sections editor of the Journal
of Materials Science.
