Grad student speaks in Phoenix and Nashville

Felipe Perez, a Ph.D. candidate in civil engineering, gave a presentation last month at a convention of the American Concrete Institute in Phoenix and at a convention of the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute in Nashville, Tenn.

At the PCI conference in Nashville, Perez’ address was titled “Large-scale Experimental Evaluation of the Lateral Load Response of Un-bonded, Post-Tensioned, Precast Concrete Walls.” Perez spoke on a similar topic at the ACI conference in Phoenix.

Perez has a B.S. from California State University at Northridge and an M.S. from Lehigh. While an undergraduate student, he worked one summer at the ATLSS (Advanced Technology for Large Structural Systems) Research Center through the Center’s Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program.
