The students received the John Manson Memorial Student Research Award. Manson, a former professor of chemistry at Lehigh, organized the Polymer Program that evolved into the Center for Polymer Science and Engineering. Orasa Khayankarn, a Ph.D. candidate in the Center for Polymer Science and Engineering, won the first-place award. Sharing the runner-up awards were Erin Breithaupt '04, a materials science and engineering major, and Aleksandar K. Angelov, a graduate student in mechanical engineering.
