Faculty support allow us to recruit and retain exceptionally talented teachers and researchers.

An estimated one-third of current faculty are likely to retire or leave the university over the next five to eight years.
The faculty we hire in their place will define Lehigh for 20 or 30 years to come.
Fewer than 10 percent of Lehigh professors and coaches hold fully endowed chairs. Our peers report 20 to 40 percent of their faculty positions are fully endowed.
Endowed chairs are among the most important tools for recruiting and retaining the finest faculty.
