"Kids have to be given a chance to succeed in life - and the students here are evidence of how that investment can pay off."
- Alice and Richard Thall '55
Athletics teams at Lehigh are as much a part of the institution as any other educational initiative, and golf is no exception.
A varsity sport at Lehigh since the late 1800s, golf challenges students to excel both individually and as members of a team. Operating with an extremely limited budget and relying on the significant involvement of volunteers, Lehigh golf has been, by many measures, a success.
However, circumstances have conspired to focus attention on the needs of the program. As the program faces some transitions, it is fitting for interested alumni, parents, and friends to ensure that golf at Lehigh continues to thrive through the next century and beyond.
