Joyce and Stephen Goldmann 1966image
Stephen F. Goldmann graduated from Lehigh University in 1966 with a degree in chemical engineering. While a student, Goldmann was class president, a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity, and the Lehigh Glee Club, as well as numerous honor societies. He earned a Ph.D. from Imperial College of the University of London while studying as a Marshall Scholar. Goldmann retired as chairman of ExxonMobil Energy, Ltd. in Hong Kong, after a 33-year career with Exxon and ExxonMobil.

Moved and inspired by the beloved professor of music, Robert “Boss” Cutler, Goldmann and his wife, Joyce, made a gift of $1 million to establish the Robert Cutler Endowed Professor of Practice in Choral Arts at Lehigh. The Goldmanns also established the Fritz and Gerda Goldmann Scholarship and supported the renovations of The Baer International Centre in Coxe Hall. They are members of the Asa Packer Society and he is currently actively involved with Lehigh’s Global Council.

The couple lives in Dallas, Texas, and Estes Park, Colorado.
