Francis T. Krupinski was born in Mahwah, New Jersey, in 1913, and was a graduate of Ramsey High School. He earned his degree from Lehigh’s College of Arts and Sciences, and was a member of the glee club and football team. Following graduation, Krupinski enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he spent much of his career, rising to the rank of Lt. Col. He later taught at the U.S. Air Force Academy. He made his home in Colorado, and passed away in 1996. Krupinski's bequest to Lehigh established the Florence M. and Francis T. Krupinski '38 Loan Fund.
