Lehigh University:

A valuable way to share in your son or daughter's Lehigh experience  is to join the 2006-2007 Lehigh Parents' Committee. More than 70 families are members of the Parents' Committee and serve as liaisons between all parents and the university. Members assist in the development and maintenance of a number of on- and off-campus projects. Members also provide valuable support to enhance the total educational programs such as academic initiatives, tutorial assistance, library acquisitions and much more.

Committee chairs for 2007-2008 are Lynne and Mark Hammerschlag '08P, of Greenwich, CT. Special thanks and congratulations to Charles and Sandy Shotmeyer '00P '05P '06P, who have served the Parents' Committee for 10 years, including three as chairpersons. Charles and Sandy were presented the Friend of Lehigh Award by President Alice Gast and Alumni Association Director Chris Marshall on Saturday, September 30th.

Parents News
In 2005-2006, a total of $50,000 supported "A Matter of Degree" - Lehigh's program for reducing high-risk drinking among college students. The program is Lehigh’s ongoing commitment to foster a healthier and safer living and learning environment at Lehigh. Lehigh received national recognition for the financial support given by Lehigh parents for this program.
