25th Reunion Class Gift Record Is Broken Once Again
The 25th Reunion gift campaign continues to be a focus for the Lehigh Fund. In the last five years, the campaign's performance has grown 800 percent in class gift totals.
In 2006, the Class of 1981 doubled the 25th Reunion class gift record by raising more than $535,000 in honor of their milestone. In 2007, the Class of 1982 continued the trend by raising more than $626,000 for their class gift. In addition to setting a new Lehigh record for a 25th Reunion class gift, the Class of 1982 exceeded their goal for new Asa Packer Society members, almost tripling their 20th Reunion total as well as breaking the previous 25th Reunion record.
Nadine Caputo Haines '82, Reunion Gift Co-Chair, says, "Seeing all the growth and changes to Lehigh's campus makes me proud to continue the legacy of giving that has made Lehigh a dynamic university. We are making it a better place for the classes that follow us."
Reunion Gift Co-Chair Michael Bertuch '82 also adds, "I've come to realize that our role has changed from being consumers of campus resources, to being providers of resources for future students. It is time for all of us to give back as the classes before ours have."
