Mary and Philip Myers Scholarship

Sarah Silverio '08 seems to be all business, judging from her major in finance and accounting, her role as treasurer of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, and her memberships in the Accounting Club and the Association of Student Alumni. Yet when she talks about her Lehigh experience, you know what she cares most about are the people around her.

"Lehigh is not about being a number. It's being part of a family," she explains. "My professors are outstanding, and they have pushed me to go beyond my personal limits and think in new ways. And I've made lifelong friends here. I know the Lehigh family extends far beyond South Bethlehem."

Sarah's scholarships do more than enable her to attend Lehigh: They also set a powerful example for this budding business student. Says Sarah, "I hope that someday I will be successful enough to establish my own scholarship fund to give a deserving student the opportunity to live their dreams and come to Lehigh."
