Chemical engineering, with minors in Japanese and polymer science
Now in her fourth year as the recipient of the Edward J. Moll ’53 Endowed Scholarship, Andrea Kopistansky ’09 is working as hard as she can to make the most of her Lehigh education. “Without the Molls’ support, my Lehigh education would not have been possible. They’ve made me feel special, making it a point to meet for lunch while visiting Lehigh from hundreds of miles away. With that in mind, I’m working harder than I thought I could, always to the best of my abilities.” The junior chemical engineering major is well on her way to entering the field of international process engineering, dividing class time with membership in the Society of Women Engineers and helping Lehigh’s Japanese professors with community activities.
Kopistansky’s strong relationship with the Molls is having a lasting effect on her. “I intend to do everything I can to make them proud, and I look forward to the day when I can give back to a student at Lehigh like the Molls have given back to me.”
