Giving to Lehigh > Shine Forever > Priorities and Progress > Endowed Programs > STEPS Science, Technology, Environment, Policy, and Society (STEPS) is an initiative to create a collaborative, multidisciplinary atmosphere that will provide the best opportunities for undergraduate education and world-class research.

The project represents an overall investment of $85 million for: Endowed chairs (10 chairs at $2 million each: $20 million) Graduate fellowships (10 fellowships at $500,000 each: $5 million) Undergraduate research funds (60 funds @ $75,000 each: $4.5 million) A state-of-the-art facility ($55 million) Technology enhancements ($500,000)

These critical resources will support an interdisciplinary approach to environmental challenges and integrate the sciences, engineering, and the social sciences. They will also increase the quality, visibility, and reputation of the undergraduate and graduate sciences at Lehigh.
