Events

Events celebrating the inauguration will span three days, beginning Thursday, April 12, and concluding Saturday, April 14.

Pre-Inauguration Symposium Seminars and Academic Symposium:
A Celebration of Research and Its Global Impact

Pre-Inauguration Symposium Seminars
March 27-April 4 | Admissions Theater - Alumni Memorial Building (27 Memorial Drive West), Asa Packer Campus
These seminars will serve as a useful prelude to the inauguration symposium itself, engaging our students and faculty in a discussion of selected aspects of the speakers work and thought, ideally generating questions that will facilitate our dialogue on April 12.
Academic Symposium
Thursday, April 12 | Zoellner Arts Center (420 East Packer Avenue), Asa Packer Campus
Tickets are not required for the symposium events. Open seating will be available on a first come, first served basis, and it is recommended that those planning to attend arrive 15 minutes before the start of each lecture to be seated.
The Symposium will feature five scholars of the highest international distinction as keynote lecturers. These five individuals hold a number of impressive awards - ranging from the Nobel and the Pulitzer Prizes to a National Medal of Science - and they share membership in many of the world's most prestigious academies and professional societies.
