The following organizations represent some of the recent supporters of Lehigh University's students, faculty, programs, and initiaitives.


Corporations Support new Master's Program
Lehigh faculty have designed a new M.Eng. in Structural Engineering  to prepare graduates for careers as practicing professionals with the expertise to manage cost and performance decisions throughout major stages of large-scale civil engineering systems. The program recently received a grant from several corporations in support of student scholarships. >> more >>


National Starch and Chemicals, Inc.
The National Starch and Chemicals Foundation provided Lehigh with support for undergraduate scholarships in chemical engineering.

Air Products
Dr. Xaiolei Huang of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering received a grant from Air Products to pursue her research.

ExxonMobil Corporation
ExxonMobil Corporation's matching gift program recently supported various activities throughout Lehigh with a 3-1 match of gifts from Lehigh alumni and friends who work there.

Charles A. and Leona K. Gruber Foundation Trust
The Gruber Foundation Trust supported Lehigh's scholarship program again this year. They have supported Gruber Scholars since 1977 through a permanent endowment.

Grant Thornton LLP
Lehigh University's 16th annual Accounting Professionalism Conference, held October 12 1nd 13, 2007, received support from the firm of Grant Thornton LLP.

Specialty Minerals, Inc.
Lehigh's Center for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (CAMN) received a scanning electron microscope  with EDS system for use in their undergraduate laboratories.

Air Products and Chemicals Inc.
Air Products is supporting several different initiatives at Lehigh for 2007-08, including continuation of the Air Products Scholars and ongoing support of the Summer EXCEL program and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers student organization. In keeping with its focus on diversity, the company also supported the NSBE, SWE, and SHPE student organizations and multicultural programming--including a speaker series, mentoring program, and honors dinner--through Lehigh's Office of Career Services. They also supported Lehigh's 2007 Gala, benefitting the Zoellner Arts Center.

Embassy Bank
Embassy Bank recently contributed a grant to Lehigh in support of the Students That Are Ready (S.T.A.R.) outreach program.

Intelliquip LLC
Lehigh's Computer Science and Engineering department received a grant from Intelliquip LLC in support of their program.

Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin gave a grant to Lehigh to support the work of the Career Services office.

Universal Form Clamp
Lehigh's Center for Advanced Technology for Large Structural Systems (ATLSS) received a grant from Universal Form Clamp.

Tyco Electronics Corp.
Tyco Electronics Corporation and Tyco Foundation supported the annual Lehigh-Broughal Manufacturing Expo event, to be held this year on April 25th. Students from Broughal Middle School interact with students from the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science in a day of hands-on learning and fun.

Sodexo
Sodexo supported the Zoellner Arts Center's Guest Artist series and the presentation of the Shaolin Warriors in November 2007.

Zymet
Zymet selected Lehigh Professor Raymond Pearson to receive a 2007 research award in recognition of his achievements.

Deloitte
Lehigh's accounting department received a grant from Deloitte in support of its accounting newsletter.

Komline-Sanderson Engineering Corporation
Lehigh's scholarship program received a contribution from Komline-Sanderson Engineering Corporation.

Capital One
Lehigh received general support for students from Capital One.

Lindback Foundation
The Christian R. and Mary K. Lindback Foundation contributed their annual teaching award to Lehigh, which will be given at the annual faculty dinner this spring.

IBM
Lehigh University's Professor James Hwang received a 2007 IBM Faculty Award for his work in semiconductors and integrated circuits, quantum-dot and quantum-dash infrared lasters, and more. Professor Aurelie Thiele of Industrial and Systems Engineering also received a 2007 IBM Faculty Award for her work in the development and analysis of tractable models of uncertainty for dynamic optimization problems under imperfect information. Professor Raymond Pearson also received an IBM Faculty Award for his work in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

General Motors
The General Motors Foundation provided grants to Lehigh in support of five GM Scholarships as well as the IPD program, the Formula SAE program, and the Mini-Baja program. They also gave funds for the engineering student groups to attend the New York Auto Show.

Hess
The Hess Corporation contributed to the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Financial Services Laboratory.

Lehigh Cement
Lehigh Cement donated in support of the endowed scholarship program in their name.

KNBT
Keystone National Bank and Trust (KNBT) supported Lehigh's Zoellner Arts Center's annual Gala evening.

Cimquest
Lehigh received a donation of licensing for the SolidWorks software from Cimquest, Inc. for our engineering programs. SolidWorks is a 3D CAD program with robust FEA analysis tools that is rapidly becoming an industry leader.

Just Born
Just Born provided support for Zoellner Arts Center's Small Steps, Tiny Revolutions commissioning project, held January 24-26, 2008, and for the College of Education's Sally Ride Educational Outreach for Science program on April 8, 2008. Just Born also supports the S.T.A.R. program at Lehigh.
