As a research and doctoral university, Lehigh garners national and international recognition from the achievements of its faculty, students, and alumni.

Our faculty members are represented in the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Sciences and among the ranks of Guggenheim, Fulbright, and Carnegie Fellows.

• Lehigh University’s Vice Provost for Research (VPR) is the chief research officer of the university and the spokesperson on research issues. To coordinate an effective research strategy for the university, the VPR works hand-in-hand with government relations officers, and with Lehigh's other university offices, research centers and institutes.

• The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is responsible for pre-award and technology transfer issues.

• The Office of Technology Transfer, Entrepreneurial Research and Education collaborates with all researchers at Lehigh to promote the movement of Lehigh's innovations to the marketplace, create educational opportunities for students, and support regional, state, and national economic development.

• The office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) plays key roles in establishing effective relationships with industry, foundations, and corporate professionals.
