For a Healthy Living Environment
C.H.O.I.C.E. housing represents a unique living experience by creating an environment for students who share a common commitment.
Students who live in C.H.O.I.C.E. housing sign a commitment not to drink or smoke in their residence hall, or return home intoxicated. They make a pledge to be responsible and respectful of their peers in order to promote a healthy living and learning environment.
Commitment
Of course everyone living on campus has to abide by certain regulations, but because students share a common commitment, C.H.O.I.C.E. housing is a great option for some of the most common challenges when making the adjustment from living at home to living with others and sharing their space.
C.H.O.I.C.E. housing represents a unique living experience by creating an environment for students who want to avoid these challenges.
The benefits are that:
Students share a common commitment
It provides a wide range of fun social activities and events.
It increases the likelihood of focusing on healthy living and positive social interactions.
Opportunity
Students who are thinking about living in C.H.O.I.C.E. housing may worry that they won't have a social life. However, students are not asked to refrain from the social life of Lehigh. Instead, they make a pact with their fellow residents to keep their living area free from cigarettes and all other tobacco products, beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs.
